Hans-Flohr award winner 2024

First presentation of the Hans Flohr Awards.
Two outstanding young researchers were honored for their remarkable contributions to urology at the 47th C. E. Alken Stiftung Meeting in Frankfurt. We at FARCO are pleased to support and promote the commitment of young scientists through the Hans Flohr Prizes, which will be awarded for the first time in 2024:

Experimental Prize
Dr. med. Pailin Pongratanakul
For her work on risk assessment of growing teratoma syndrome in germ cell tumors using molecular and epigenetic subtypes and novel biomarkers. Her research could have a decisive impact on the early diagnosis and treatment of this rare complication.

Clinical Prize
Dr. med. Benedikt Höh
For his pioneering study on early CRP kinetics and their importance for predicting the long-term efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors in metastatic renal cell carcinoma. His work could help to better target and individualize treatment outcomes for patients with this aggressive form of cancer.
This work demonstrates how innovative research has the potential to make a lasting positive difference to clinical practice. We are honored to remember our founder and long-time FARCO CEO with the Hans Flohr Awards and to help shape the future of research within urology.
We warmly congratulate the award winners and look forward to their future achievements.

Congratulations to our 2024 award winners.
