With the #NDOteenCamps, FARCO-PHARMA builds bridges and offers support for adolescent patients suffering from neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO).

NDO can have various causes: It can be due to paraplegia or diseases such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s disease or diabetes mellitus. The condition is associated with many challenges in everyday life. Adolescents in puberty experience this particularly intensely. During this phase, they have to deal with important issues such as becoming independent and breaking away from their parents, education and career choices, as well as relationships and sexuality. In addition, for those affected, the transition to long-term medical care is an issue that not only concerns them, but also their parents and doctors.

FARCO-PHARMA’s #NDOteenCamps address these challenges in order to encourage young people to lead independent lives. The all-day event is specially tailored to the needs of young people and offers an interactive platform for exchange at regional events. In addition to “correct” bladder management, the focus is on topics that are of particular concern to Generation Z. Mentors, influencers and experts will offer break-out sessions and workshops where experiences can be shared and discussed.

A separate program will be offered in parallel at the low-barrier event for those accompanying those affected. The focus here is on an active exchange of experiences and the provision of assistance in everyday life.
