Numerous patients and interested people took part in the first ISC (Intermittent Self-Catheterization) Day organized by the FGQ (Support Association for Sufferers of Paraplegia) with information on the treatment of neurogenic bladder dysfunction.
Intermittent Self-Catheterization (ISC), which has been the gold standard in the treatment of neurogenic bladders for years, was the focal point. The topic was examined from a medical and therapeutic point of view as well as from the perspective of those affected. A highlight of the event was the presentation on ISC-accompanying therapy for neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO), which was able to show patients who have been dealing with the condition for many years new guideline-compliant therapy options. In addition to detailed information, there was also plenty of time for individual questions and discussions. Another event is planned for 09.11.2024 in Munich. Further information will follow.
